Bio

Jason Lewis aka Humble Tip was born in Washington D.C. The majority of his youth was spent in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Born and raised in the inner-city community, hip-hop was something Humble Tip was surrounded by his entire life. Growing up with both parents in the household, two brothers and one sister, Humble Tip learned the value of family and church. Oddly enough, it wasn’t until he decided to attend Liberty University that he realized his gift of rhyme. This emcee explains "I never wanted to do this whole rap thing. I wanted to go to school and become a sports agent. I never, ever saw myself rapping". In fact, the artist says that his father almost had to force him to do his first performance. Humble Tip is heavily involved with the ministry team Strictly 4 Jesus. This organization of young believers in Jesus Christ holds weekly Bible studies, accountability, assist in preparing and promoting Christian entertainment events, ministers in detention centers, to youth groups and is also involved with missionary outreach. Humble Tip linked with S4J once he arrived at Liberty University where he completed an undergraduate degree in Health Promotions and is currently working on his Master Degree in Health and Wellness.
Humble Tip has released 2 official albums, "Our Turn" and "About Business". The latter being the most recent album. About Business is an album that has been received well throughout the 3H community. One of the things that separates Humble Tip from other Christian Hip-Hop artist is his promoting tactics. Currently, Humble Tip already has 3 music videos out for his "Our Turn" album and 4 music videos for his "About Business" album. The lead single to the "About Business" album is the summer hit "S.P.F (Salvation Prevents Fire). This song has been received with excitement and anticipation with youth groups all across the United States. The uniqueness of this song is found in the creative dance that it is performed to by Humble Tip, D-Maub and K-Drama. Fans have accepted and attempted to perform this dance. You can view much of the home made footage and the official "S.P.F" music video on YouTube.
