"Fan Letter"

Jason,

I just wanted to tell you that I have listened to only half of your CD so far; I am on track 8 now.

I really don’t know where to begin…at first it was like you said, had my head bopping, it was fun and nice. I really enjoy so many kinds of music and listening to rap is something that I don’t really get to do much because of all of the filth that is found in the secular versions. I noticed that I really started to not only enjoy your music and the lyrics, but with each sentence you spoke, I found myself getting chill bumps and trying very hard to listen to every word and not to miss anything…I had the music up so loud!

By the time I heard your number 5 track, What Would You Do….I was in tears. Not only that particular song, but everything on the CD that I had heard up until that point had moved me so that I had to wonder to myself, what is my purpose here. God is so evident in your life and in your gift that it makes people like me wonder what can I do and how is it that I can spread God’s words and love. Sometimes we think we are doing a halfway descent job, but when someone like me sees someone like you, really putting it out there, loud and proud; it moves us in a way that I can’t even spell out in this letter.

Anyway…I brought your music in for Hollis and April to listen to and they loved it. I can’t wait to listen to it all, if I may say Jason, I think it’s beautiful. I have really enjoyed listening to your heart and I really wanted you to know that I love you and I will be praying for your ministry. I can only imagine the “generation” that you are reaching…the differences that you are making for the Lord and in not just young lives, but old (middle aged J) ones like mine too. Your words have made me not only think but feel and as a result of that, you have changed my life even more.

Thank you for being so faithful and showing someone like me there is more that I should and can do. I do love ya darlin’!

I would like another CD for a friend of mine.

In prayer,

Carol - Carol

"Big Hearts"

I have been working with Perry and Jason for the past three years in ministry. These two young men have a BIG heart for today's youth and young adults, as evident through their act of service and involvement in our yearly community outreach called Fall Festival. With Jason, Perry, and various others have made Fall Festival a major outreach event here in Lynchburg VA. Again these two young men come highly recommended by myself and if you or anyone need to contact me my contact information is at the bottom of this e-mail.

"Ministry Minded"

I am the Middle School Pastor at Grove Avenue Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. I am writing on behalf of D.J. P-Dogg and Humble. I used them for a Disciple Now weekend back March 3-5 and was extremely blessed by their ministry. They were extremely helpful and flexible. Their performance and ministry both on and off stage was a wonderful addition to what we wanted to accomplish with our weekend. They took time to get to know my students and build relationships with the small amount of time that they had. Their level of professionalism was a wonderful experience and allowed the program our team had planned to run smoothly and efficiently. I highly recommend them for anything that calls for their talents. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Bio

Jason Lewis aka Humble Tip was born in Washington D.C. The majority of his youth was spent in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Born and raised in the inner-city community, hip-hop was something Humble Tip was surrounded by his entire life. Growing up with both parents in the household, two brothers and one sister, Humble Tip learned the value of family and church. Oddly enough, it wasn’t until he decided to attend Liberty University that he realized his gift of rhyme. This emcee explains "I never wanted to do this whole rap thing. I wanted to go to school and become a sports agent. I never, ever saw myself rapping". In fact, the artist says that his father almost had to force him to do his first performance. Humble Tip is heavily involved with the ministry team Strictly 4 Jesus. This organization of young believers in Jesus Christ holds weekly Bible studies, accountability, assist in preparing and promoting Christian entertainment venues, ministers in detention centers, to youth groups and also is involved with global missionary outreach. Humble Tip linked with this ministry team once he arrived at Liberty University where he completed an undergraduate degree in Health Promotions and is currently working on his Masters Degree in Health and Wellness. Armed with in depth knowledge of Gods word, academic success, and a deep connection with and passion for this youthful generation, Humble Tip is determined and focused on making an impact on the culture.

Here are music videos of mine that I hope speak to you.

LU Anthem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-dc9nHwC2w
This music video is geared towards exciting high school youth about the incredible opportunities available at Liberty University. I am a graduate student of LU and I also received my Masters degree from this college. I wrote this song for the school years ago and recorded it and the music video approximately 3 months ago. I hope you enjoy it.

Humble Tip Introduction Acapella Piece

This is a very quick one minute and a half introduction piece that notifies fans, youth leaders and non believers alike of the type of artist that I am.

Nobody This Krunk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2IRgJ_4wgs
This video is based on the fact that no one should be more excited than a Christian because we have the future of eternity with the King to look forward to. The word Krunk is a simple slang word that means excited.

Can’t Give In
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6749X9uQa_0
This video is focused on encouraging Christians not to give in to the secular temptations that attempt to lure us into a life displeasing of God. This video is specifically aimed at Christian musicians who sell their soul for the fame that comes along with mass exposure.

Here is a link of me performing at a Hip Hop concert to give you a visual example of how some crowds respond to me (I am the rapper in the red hat).
