This will be the first year the city has ever had a contemporary group for their gospel night. The event starts at 7:00pm on Friday night. - Citizen Voice and Times

"Bass Player/Police Officer Shot"

The family of a Irvine police officer shot Friday night at random speaks about the experience to 27 NEWSFIRST only.
Eva Asher, the wife Eddie Asher; the officer police say was shot in the back of the head by Junice "Dickie" Mays, says her husband is doing well.
Eva Asher said, she was about to go to bed when she heard the shot ring out Friday night.
Asher said, the couple's apartment was only 50 feet from where the shooting happened.
Asher said, as soon as she heard the gunshots she rushed to the scene; knowing it was her husband, because he was the only officer on duty.
Asher said, when she arrived on the scene she found her husband covered in blood; from the glass and gun pellet wounds.
Eddie was rushed to the hospital and was released Saturday morning.
Asher said, by Saturday night Eddie Asher and his Christian rock band, "Hundredfold", were playing in concert in Pikeville Kentucky.
Mays is facing several charges, including attempted murder.
He's also getting a mental health evaluation.

"Worship Extreme"

Pikeville’s Grace Fellowship reached out to the youth in Pike County in an amazing and somewhat different way with its youth ministry service called Worship Extreme. Whether it be Fear Factor or hosting the Open for the July Jam competition, Grace Fellowship knows how to throw an event.

Saturday night, June 23, Worship Extreme welcomed bands, Pierced and Hundredfold, along with Worship artist Jonathan Smith, comedian JB and special guest speaker Chris Fields, to Grace Fellowship for a concert marking Smith’s dedication to the church, as he will be attending Arkansas Tech in the fall.

To start the night off, Worship Extreme held an arm wrestling contest for both women and men. The contestants competed for $50 with Hundredfold’s own lead singer, David Adams, taking the men’s prize and bassist Eddie Asher’s wife winning the women’s contest.

Smith entertained the crowd with his amazing Worship Art which he does in chalk. Afterward, God’s Appalachian Partnership presented Smith a plaque and watch for his five years of dedication with the organization.

SouthEast Telephone’s marketing team provided the crowd with free chili dogs and drinks.

Bio

Hundredfold is a group of men and women who have come together under one cause, and one cause only, and that is to see GOD'S kingdom expand. That is the main reason that you will hardly ever hear lead singer and ministry founder David Adams refer to the group as a band. Although they enjoy playing music, the group has an understanding that the music is not top priority. The music is a vessel for what God is wanting to do in this country. Hundredfold started over 5 years ago as a praise and worship group, Tried By Fire, playing only in their home church. As time past they answered the Lords call to go out and give the good news. Feeling they had served their purpose as Tried By Fire the group changed their members and their name to Hundredfold. Now the group ministers all over leading services for praise and worship and calling up an army from todays youth, that has been stagnet for some time.

In comparison their music has been compared to Third Day, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp,etc...
