"[HYF] write really great songs and they’ve already got
the whole thing right there."
(John Kurzweg, GOLD record producer-Creed, Puddle of Mud)
"Hundred Year Flood deliver a rocky, southern edge to the roots rock brand of music...wired tightly together by singer Felecia Ford."

Lyrics

Hell or High Water

Written By: Bill Palmer

Last night I heard the Coyote howl and moan
Last night I heard the coyote howl and moan
like his heart was aching, chilled me to the bone
with a cry so lonesome chilled me to the bone
Hell or High Water
Hello or High Water
Gotta make it to the border
come hell or high water
Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water
Gotta make it cross river come hell or high water

Gonna cross the desert a million miles from home
In the blistering sun a million miles from home
I didn't wanna run, I didn't wanna be alone
I didn't wanna run, I didn't wanna be alone

Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water
Gotta make it to the border
come hell or high water
Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water
Gotta make it cross river come hell or high water

Lead a horse to the water
you can't make him drink
Lead a hourse to the water
you can't make him drink
when you cross that river
he ain't gonna sink
when you cross that river
he ain't gonna sink

Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water
Gotta make it to the border
come hell or high water
Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water
Gotta make it cross river come hell or high water

Truly

Written By: Bill Palmer

When the line is drawn and the deal goes down
I've got every intention of keeping you around
When the road gets paved and the plans are made
You gotta be true to the one who stayed
TRULY TRULY TRULY, TRULY I'll remember you

When the light turns on and the curtains drawn
and the meaning of it all has been revealed
To keep the feel and make it better
down to the letter you gotta keep it real
TRULY TRULY TRULY, TRULY I'll remember you

You know you gotta dance with the one who brung ya, so we take a chance and make it count
You can't be afraid, once the tracks are laid
Cuz the layer stayed late to help you out
TRULY TRULY TRULY, TRULY I'll remember you......repeat

Grindin' Wheel

Written By: Bill Palmer

I was sittin all alone
waiting by the telephone
waiting for a call that never came at all tonight
Were you angry when you left
as if I couldn't even tell
You left a mark out on the gravel when you drove away
yea, you drove away

Every time we get upset
It's just another sorry mess
saying things that we don't mean to say
and hate to feel
If it hurts you you don't need it
still you're doomed to repeat it
for another round of heartaches and a grindin wheel
yea a grindin wheel

But I love you so
and I want you more
everytime you walk back through the door

So we picked up all the pieces
and formed another union
and we swore we'd never hurt each other that way again
but a stubborn constitution
never stopped a revolution
when the obvious solution is to drive away
yea to drive away

But I love you so
and I want you more
everytime you walk back through the door
When I broke your heart
it tore my own apart
just like a grindin wheel
just like a grindin wheel
oh yea, just like a grindin wheel

Poison

Written By: Bill Palmer

Feel it runnin down your spine
feel it burnin up your head
it's too late now
there's no way out
you should have listened to your momma instead

Yea you got
the POISON
the POISON
there ain't nothin you can do
you got the POISON,
the POISON
yea the poison got you

A little bit more every year
you had your chance
you coulda stayed clear
you coulda had it beat
but now your dead meat
there ain't to use for crying any tears

Some might call it suicide
some might say you're not to blame
One thing I know
and you can take it to the grave
that POISON and no kinda gam

You got the POISON
the POISON
there ain't nothin you can do
you got the POISON,
the POISON
yea the poison got you

Neck of the Woods

Written By: Bill Palmer

If you ever make it
out to my neck
of the woods
come and see me
if you get lonely
in the city
come on out
to my neck of the woods
before it's gone
my neck of the woods

I can the highway from miles away
comin up from Houston
there's no escaping fate
down in my neck of the woods...my neck of the woods

It's a simple pleasure
to hear the wind whisper
in tops of the tall pines
There's no worry
there's no hurry
out in my neck of the woods
be sure and make it before they take it
down in my neck of the woods

I can the highway from miles away
comin up from Houston there's no escaping fate
down in my neck of the woods....oh...be sure and make it before the take
my neck of the woods
