We like Rock, Roll, Fire, and Magic; bold, brass and ballsy. Reminded us of Cold War Kids in places. Undertow was my particular favourite. It’s made the short trip from Mac to my iPod. If you’re ever in the Uk, drop us a line.

The best piece on the album is probably Entre Dientes , a soft, acoustic ballad with wonderfully orchestrated guitars. With a sort of Postal Service optimism, they sing "And we’ll dance / You and me / In this place / We’ll be free." Somehow, among countless thousands of heart-on-the-sleeve indie anthems, HHH make this one stand out... The recording quality is unabashedly lo-fi, but eager vocals and clever songwriting are what make this album shine: as Dan and Kevin sing on opener Come On , "Lord knows I’m not perfect / But for you I’d damn well try."

Bio
The Hungry Hungry Hypocrites, hailing from Glastonbury, Connecticut, got together in 2002 and have worked their collective tail off playing as many shows as possible around Connecticut, New England, and New York. Now in their sophomore year at colleges in the region, they are poised to take New England and beyond by storm. Although they may be better known for their cover medleys and great t-shirt designs, their debut full-length “Rock, Roll, Fire, and Magic” is out now, chock full of original tunes. They list Matt Longobardi and his photographs as strong influences.
