"A CONTENDER"

"Smooth country is what singer/songwriter Hunter Payne is about and he nails the genre's radio-friendly essence on his opening tune, 'One Last Chance.' Payne has the style that could make him a contender for Nash-pop success." - Music Connection Magazine

"STRONG VOCALS/MEMORABLE HOOKS"

"Slick Adult Contemporary with strong vocals and a memorable hook. Everything is tasteful from the laid- back Folk-Rock groove to the perfect guitar solo. This could have been on any one of the last 10 James Taylor albums." - Listen.com

"LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THIS GUY IN THE CHARTS"

" 'One Last Chance' is good songwriting, right in there between genres. Hunter's voice is decidedly country, yet the song is pop enough to make Shania's navel suspiciously wink. 'She Don't Know Why' is again contemporary country with a story song sad enough to pray to. The voice is the blue, heroic type, like a voyeur all overcome by what he's seeing. I look forward to seeing this guy in the charts." - The Muse’s Muse

"PRACTICALLY EVERY SONG COULD CONTEND FOR AIRPLAY"

"Hunter Payne has what it takes to make it with the big boys- there is absolutely no quality that is lacking on his album, "One Last Chance." Hunter's honest voice just drips with country twang, and with the sweet acoustic guitar singing along with him, practically every song could contend for radio play. Simply put, the album is absolutely beautiful with plenty of variety from song to song (some are dreamy ballads while some rock out a little more). 'She Don't Know Why' is an intrinsic number- Hunter really shines in this one- his vocal range is incredible. Country, folk, and rock all in one. Great vocals, great composition, great album!" - Music Dish

"THE QUINTESSENTIAL TROUBADOUR"

"The quintessential troubadour - a great talent." - Leonard Bernstein

"A CLASSIC"

"The title track is country, but most of the other songs are in the contemporary singer/songwriter mode of artists like Marc Cohn. In other words, this is finely crafted material, excellently produced and earnestly presented. “‘Long Time Comin’ “ sounds like a classic that could fit into any AC radio playlist in the nation." - Immedia Wire Service

"THIS IS THE SEXIEST, MOST ROMANTIC CD I'VE HEARD IN QUITE A WHILE!"

"Hunter Payne has ‘Nailed’ it! Hunter comes out rocking on the very first track, ‘What I Wouldn’t Give’, a beautifully sad love song, with pounding bass lines and a wonderfully “dirty” guitar, blended brilliantly with Hunter’s vocals and very Lennonesque harmonies.

Every song on this CD has it‘s own unique approach and sound! From ‘Carrie Jo’ and ‘My Yesterday’ to ‘Hold On, Darling’ and ‘Stuck On The Money’, and everything else included, the instrumentation varies wonderfully, making you anxious to hear what musical treat is going to come out next. Throughout them all are Hunter’s insightful, soulful lyrics that touch your heart and, best of all, you get to hear Hunter’s remarkable vocals with all of his outstanding phrasing and occasionally downright growlingly sexy voice.

This is without a doubt, the sexiest, most romantic CD I’ve heard in quite a while! This is the quintessential CD for a quiet, romantic night with the one you love!" - ElectraBlue
