It's not much of a secret that most musicians are writing their own bios these days, so let's not play around with illusions. I've only ever found illusions to be harmful in the end.
I'm originally from East Texas, but I've lived in Austin long enough that I call it home now. Although I've been writing these acoustic songs since I was about 16, my main focus as a musician has been a metal band called Prey for Sleep, in which I do vocals.
I love Prey for Sleep, the community that we're a part of, and what the music does for me, but there are some things that I can say better in a whisper than I can in a scream, and vice versa.
Why have I decided to start pursuing my acoustic material now, after so many years of just pursuing metal? I guess I finally realized that one day you run out of one days, and I'm not going to waste anymore time waiting around for the right moment to do this. You create your own right moments, and I've decided that this is mine.
