Our Story

Hunting Simon started in the summer of 2007. It all started with two talented guys that shared a common interest of writing music and the drive to do whatever it takes. It took well over a year but the cast of the band is set and has been rocking the Northeast for nearly a year. Everyone in the band plays because we love music and we love to put on a great show. While it may seem cliché as it sounds we truly are influenced by everything that we have ever heard. We like to fuse styles together to give you a song that is uniquely Hunting Simon. All of the members come from small towns in Connecticut. Looking to get out and see more of the world rocking each city one at a time.

Our Sound

Our style is best described as pop punk with a twist. We have something more than typical pop punk bands you hear everyday. We bring unique and catchy guitar riffs and leads, smooth like butter bass lines, body swaying beats and vocals so sweet they taste like candy. Bringing something to the table you might not accept is what we aim to do. Whether you like rock, hip hop, rap, jazz, alternative Hunting Simon will deliver every time. We have lost count of the number of times we have heard "I don't like rock music, but you guys are awesome!"

The Guys

Matt Iacobucci - Vocals
Iaco brings an interesting dimension to the band. His unique voice and uncanny ability to find the perfect melody help the audience to really connect with the music. His blend of singing and screaming truly sets Hunting Simon's sound apart from any other band.

Jeremiah Charland - Guitar & Vocals
This founding member is the driving force behind this quintet of rock. His creative minds bring unique guitar riffs that feel and ooze the Hunting Simon sound. Along with his catchy up-tempo leads his vocals compliment that of Matt extremely well.

Kevin Leyva - Drums
The other founding member has incredible chops and unbridled creativity behind the kit. He infuses essences of funk and hip hop into the rock sound and bring a unmatched stage presence that is infectious to all who are watching.

Dan Pulis - Bass
Dan is one of the few people who truly understands his instrument. He brings talent and stage present that are unmatched. His smooth bass playing lays a back bone and cohesiveness to every Hunting Simon track.

Justin Jellinek - Guitar
His nickname is "shredmaster" for a reason. He plays guitar like no other bringing in that high quality sounds and skill to the band. His intuition on the guitar helps him write perfect compliments the unique strums patterns and riffs that compose the songs.
