Hurricane Jane

Hurricane Jane

Soaring feminine vocals and harmonies over a powerful, dynamic rock band. Think Kate Bush meets Led Zeppelin.

Hurricane Jane is a female-fronted rock band whose members include Kyra Lucas (vocals), Marc Marino (guitar), Allen Witcher (bass) and Jon Carisi (drums). Their sound is a fresh, truly original marriage of vocal and musical influences including the likes of Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, P.J. Harvey, and many more… The music can go from slinky and subtle to raw and in your face in a heartbeat. Their vision is to create music that is accessible and real while at the same time eluding comparisons to what has already been done.

Hurricane Jane began playing in and around Boston within the past year, and have been well received by both music fans and music industry folks alike. They have played on bills with great bands such as Rustic Overtones, Heidi, Mistle Thrush, Betwixt and The Jennifer Tefft Band. Their self-funded 6-song CD “Catch” will be coming out in March 2001. Now that their recording project is completed, Hurricane Jane is beginning to play as many live shows as they can. They are looking forward to playing new venues along the East Coast, while continuing to build their following in Massachusetts.
