Discography
Hursh's 2006 release is self titled. Although only recently released it has recieved airplay on commercial and non-commercial radio in the Northern Michigan region. Hursh is the result of singer songwriter Ben Hursh teaming up with Guy Hursh on guitar and Rebecca Hursh on backing vocals. Add to the mix long time bassist Rob Ackley, groovemasters Keith Ballmer and Devon Neibert on percussion and you've got a sound that is turning heads. Ben has a knack for writing from the heart and pours himself into the music. Rebecca and Guy add a continuity that can only come from family history. Rob, Keith and Devon complete the sound that combines strong melodies, subtle harmonies and honest, edgy lyrics. Hursh is a mix of styles and takes influence from a wide range of artists from Ryan Adams to John Gorka and from broken hearts to the bond between family and friends.
