Hell for the Company

Written By: Shael Pezderic

if I do right i'll get my reward
i'll end up in that palace in the sky
but all my friends don't toe that line
we drink and smoke and drink and sometimes lie
paradise don't seem so sweet
when no one that i'd like to meet I see
i'd go to heaven for the sunshine
hell for the company

johnny cash played shows in jail
and wore more black than any other man
waylon sang right through his nose
that's what got him busted by the man
those outlaws like to party hard
I think they'd sit and tip a glass with me
i'd go to heaven for the sunshine
hell for the company

i'd go to heaven for the sunshine
hell to stay up all night
heaven for the streets of gold
hell for girls that get down low
heaven for the cool breeze
hell for the company

i'd go to heaven for the sunshine
hell to stay up all night
heaven for amazing grace
hell to see dio rock that place
heaven for the cool breeze
hell for the company

One More Shot

Written By: Shael Pezderic

Out on the coast
Up in the hills
Out on the trail
Looking for thrills

On your best horse
Leanin' on the horn
Dreamin' 'bout times
When we meant more

Ten years seems like a day
We let our love slip away

Sittin' 'round the fire
In your back yard
we can't find the flame
But we're lookin' so hard

You're on the bench seat
Sittin' next to me
I run the clutch
You run the 3 on the tree

But it's not like it used to be
I used to love you, you used to love me

Oh, I'm tired of givin' it all I've got
But thats never stopped me from givin it
One more shot

Smoke and Drink

Written By: Shael Pezderic

I wanna' drink and smoke and drink
smoke and drink and smoke

when I wake up in the morning
I crack a beer and light a joint
some folks say you're supposed to wait 'til noon
but I can't tell what's the point
it make the warm morning sun last so long
feels like it takes and hour to blink
I wanna' smoke and drink and smoke
drink and smoke and drink

sometimes i'm forced to go earn some cash
i'm like a bee working in a hive
they'll fire my ass if I smell like weed
and I can't drink a drop 'til 5
I long all day for that refreshing spice
of a Caesar and a toke
I wanna' drink and smoke and drink
smoke and drink and smoke

sometimes I wonder if I can control myself
then I hear the sound of ice in a glass
I put that worry up on a shelf
right behind the whiskey

I don't think I can stand the sorrow in my life
my truck ran away and my dog broke down
i've been left by all three wives
I just found out i'm gonna' lose my job
in two weeks i'll be flat brokc
I wanna' drink and smoke and drink
smoke and drink and
smoke and drink and smoke
drink and smoke and drink

Hangover From Hell

Written By: Shael Pezderic

we went out just my girl and me
we got about as drunk as we could be
she looked hot in her top and knee socks of fire engine red
we sat at the bar and talked for hours
ordered too many rickard's white towers
now I can't remember a damn thing she said

that was last night
I can't face the morning light
i'm sure it's plain to tell
i've got a hangover from hell

I sat down for a casual drink
with grandma and grandpa I didn't think
we'd be long because of their advancing years
six hours later on inspection they found
the drinks were dry so they poured another round
I was under the table heavin' and slurrin' in tears

poker night on a vegas trip
we started betting drinks instead of chips
I said swing for the fence 'cause that's half the fun
I bet ten drinks didn't want to be cheap
I laid my cards down said 'read 'em and weep'
they were all red and added up to twenty-one

Wild Rose Waltz

Written By: Shael Pezderic

I love the wild rose
I know where it grows
on the prairies that I hold so dear
but the cold winter frost
brought the wild rose's loss
just like it does every year

I cry please don't go
I love you so
I miss you wild rose

so what the hell happened to the love that we had?
I'm so tired of trying not to feel so sad
and so I move along and try not to feel
there's one thing i'm certain of:
what we had was real
then the seasons changed
life spins like a wheel

I love the wild rose
I know where it grows
on the prairies that I call home
but the cold winter frost
brought the wild rose's loss
now I have to go on alone

I cry please don't go
I love you so
I miss you wild rose
