"an Italian Rock site"

Produzione e confezione professionali.

"Rating Scales"

RATING SCALE "1" Indicates the Lowest Score "5" Indicates The Highest Score Recording Quality/Production: 4.5 Lead Vocals: 4.5 Musicianship: 4.5 Lyric Writing: 4 Music Composing: 4 Melodies: 5 Song Arrangement: 3.5 to 4 Dear Mark, Thanks for submitting the new material for the evaluation. It was nice to hear from you again. I enjoyed listening to the songs and I appreciate that you kept me in the loop with the new songs. The guitar tone and sounds on these songs is excellent! And by the way, attending a Kiss concert during the Love Gun tour is what got me interested in playing the guitar and ultimately lead me to a career in the music business. I know Kiss had a big influence on you as well. To give you insight to the scoring scale above, the majority of artists score in the 2.5 to 3.5 range in the various categories. Whenever an artist sees a 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 or 3.5 as a score in a certain category (or categories) it means that's an area I feel they need to improve and develop. When someone sees 4, 4.5 or 5 as their score in a category, that tells them, to me, they are in the professional league and have strong potential. It's a validation from a pro, letting you know you are doing a fine job. Every artist should work hard to earn 4.5 to 5 in every category. It's a very competitive business and people averaging in the 3's (or less) will probably not get too far without a great deal of improvement and development. I don't give out 4's and 5's easily, so any of those you see, you have earned. Well done! One thing to keep in mind, at least for your songs designated as "Singles" (the songs geared towards winning over radio stations and record company executives) - try to keep Intros to under 10 seconds and try to reach the Chorus between the 40 and 42 second mark. If it's 43 seconds or longer and the Chorus did not kick in yet, you should edit the song's arrangement accordingly. One quick thing... The submission was marked as "Selected" because for me to advance the screen and send the feedback to you I have to make a selection and check a box. It appears that in many of the SonicBids opportunities, an artist is either selected or not. In the Foley Entertainment opportunity, EVERYONE who participates receives feedback and tips from me, along with the mutual opportunity to get to know each other. No one receives a "pass" or anything disappointing like that. The Foley Entertainment opportunity is to validate and confirm the things you are doing right, to point out any weaknesses so they can be corrected and to provide feedback and encouragement. Please e-mail me with your career goals and plans for 2009. I'll respond with my thoughts. Thank you for the submission Mark and continued best wishes! I look forward to hearing from you soon. Discography

Bolt - Mark Borrero lead guitar, lead and backing vocals. Stan Martel producer bass, backing vocals, Bobby Amaru drums, Jake Harding lead guitar.

This project has taken 3 years to perfect and manages to satisfy the needs of those searching for something more than sound. This CD is so much more than songs. "Bolt" was formerly known as the "HUSHXBAND" and contains the last recording of Steven Martinez (drummer, vocalist) that has passed away and is greatly missed. It is ironic that the song is called "Remember Me" that features Steve on backing vocals.

I have embraced the opportunity to work with producer Stan Martell of Martell Productions who also plays bass and sings backing vocals on many tracks due to the departure of Jonathan Knight that has moved on to further his education and prosper with his new business.

Jake Harding (the offspring and protege of the legendary Matt Harding) does an amazing job shreading solos on "Ball And Chain, Better Days, Sinner and Remember Me".

Bobby Amaru of "Burn Season" and "Amaru". Bobby does an exceptional job on drums which led to praise from none other than "Brent Smedley" of "Iced Earth".

This CD represents my life's work and defines the term "do it till it's right". I hope to hear from you soon and I hope you enjoy this project. Mark

Bio

BOLT is influeced from a time when a show was very visual, from a time When true entertainment dominated the industry. When Mark saw his first KISS concert he knew he had just witnessed a show that could never compare to another one past, present or future. . He had seen a performance that could be remembered for a lifetime and still as vivid today as it was back then. This is what BOLT intends on bringing back to the industry, "true" entertainment.
