Hushabye Baby is the brainchild of Allison Olender, a Nashville transplant from Maryland. Her sound has been described as a soulful mix of folk and country bred from heartache and upbringing. She's a storyteller first and foremost, and only after a few short years has acquired a vocal presence rarely found in songwriters her age. She has played with great acts such as Smooth Hound Smith, Forlorn Strangers, Cold Weather Company, and Jeff Carl.
