...reminds me of that classic 60's sound and with the addition of the guitar makes for a very mellow tone. The music reminds me of a song by 'The Band' or another pop chart hit sometime during the latter half of the 60's. The voice somehow is reminiscent of a David Bowie or Lou Reed by it's consistency and overall power.

HYER is the husband and wife duo whose amalgamation of piano, voice and acoustic guitar produces a soothingly emotive sound that is described as ambient acoustic rock. Their music is classically informed and yet contemporarily fresh. Both Darin and Rachael are experienced performers. With graduate degrees in Piano and Musicology and a repertoire that ranges from classical to ambient to rock, Rachael is a professional pianist and composer with a vast amount of experience and diverse ability. Darin has a background in acting and took up the singing/songwriting craft while in graduate school.
