HYPERSOLID (noun) - (A) a figure [as a hyper-cube] in hyperspace that corresponds to a solid in ordinary 3-dimensional space. (B) A solid object consisting of more than 3 dimensions.
Hypersolid formed in 2002 with members Sam Space, Rob Gil, Phil Provencher, and Marco Berdon. The intent was to create a unique, and intense experience that would level an audience and leave them awe-struck and inspired. After about a year and a major line-up change, which brought in two brothers from Texas- Aaron and Jeromy Martin- they have begun to realize this purpose, to frightening accuracy.
The inspiration for the music comes from the theoretical existence of hyperspace. A theory that speaks of spacial dimensions beyond the perceivable, and implies that our reality is made up of not only far more than we realize, but also that everything is inherently connected. This is the concept that drives Hypersolid's direction into unexplored dimensions of aggressive music- incorporating vast soaring melodies, devastating guitar riffs, and song form within and outside the ordinary. This is metal as you've never heard it. Beautiful, yet brutal. Intricate, yet simple. Intuitive, yet challenging.
