Bio
Born in Halifax, N.S. into a Navy family, Johanna moved extensively throughout the country while growing up. And while she now calls Calgary, AB. home, she continues to travel extensively with her Hypnotic Stage Show.
Johanna has followed many paths in her lifetime, including joining the Armed Forces, corporate management jobs, pursuing a psychology & criminal justice degree and even owning her own business, but it wasn't until she saw a performance by British Hypnotist Paul McKenna, that she truly found her passion. Motivated to learn more about this fascinating subject, she ended up becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist and losing over 120 lbs (and yes, that's 120 lbs... and not a typo) in the process. Johanna then began helping others achieve their own life goals.
Johanna then took a stage hypnosis course to help with her private practice skills, never ever dreaming she'd be bitten by the showbiz bug. Which, of course, she was. She then went on to become one of only a handful of women stage hypnotists in North America and now does her best to dispell the old "Svengelli" and "bark like a dog/cluck like a chicken" stereotypes.
Johanna continues to study her craft and to improve her already phenomenal stage show on a regular basis. She is known for the great entertainment she provides as well as the integrity with which she treats her "guests" on stage.
Corporations across the continent use Johanna as a first rate source of spectacular & hilarious entertainment and many choose to have her present her wellness and performance enhancing workshops as well.
