The group Hypnotic Affair began its journey in Decatur,Ga Of 2004 and was the brainchild of Derrick Rasmey and Rethea Fizell,who wanted to create a band that reflected the motown review type show.The beginning saw some personal change and experment with different musical styles,but when the dust cleared, kedboard player,Ike Fillyaw,drummer Mike Brown brother bass player Jeff Brown and singer Lynetta Stovall, remained as permanent band members. but Rethen soon left to purse other projects and originator, Derrick Rasmey,who had prior commitment to other bands left also.So,IKe Boogie, Mike and Jeff Brown, the New York transplants,and Lynetta Stovall from Michigan,stayed to become JIMAL, working together to make a unigue sound of their own.And in 2006 were joined by jeff's daugher,singer Kiaosha Brown and guitar player William Gould who previously played with the Brown brother in N.Y. The name of the band change to lnternal Affair,and began performing for various church functions, charity affairs,clubs,and political fund raisers. In 2007 the group found its own voice in smooth jazz, funk and old school R&B,which represented the over thirty yr of experience and different styles of the induvidual group menbers with the addition of the new sound of Neo Soul.Singer Lynetta Stovall also left the group for personal reason.Then the name change again to Hypotic Affair And in 2008 singer Tueday Michell became the new member of the group giving it extra flavor unique sound only to start on its new journey,the band is ready for the ride and looks forward to taking you along.
