I, Apollo

I,Apollo ( to απολλυμι ) is a greek verb meaning to Destroy. (I, to Destroy) a name that fits perfectly with the band and it's sound. reference eg .http://www.behindthename.com/name/apollo 
The band was formed in 2014 by Cole Smith (guitar) and Brendyn Moxley (Vocals). Picking up extra enthusistic drummer Quintin Herd from hours of facebook searching for the right candidate. The band then aquired the laid back and always witty bassist Lane Grimes. The band members were familiar with Lane from seeing him play in local bands that shared the stage with earlier incarnations of I, Apollo. One day the band ran into Lane working at a local Subway, and the lineup became the pillar of what  I, Apollo is today. No one in the band currently is over the age of 21.
I, Apollo take their profession seriously, before playing any shows or even naming the band, they wrote and recorded their 6 song Ep titled "Stranded" with well known Producer Josh Schroeder at Randomn Awesome! Studios in Bay City MI (The Color Morale, Legend, Battlecross,The Browning) and secured a management deal. 
Making practice a ritual, they work hard hours on end. Once I, Apollo began playing live they landed their 3rd show in a 1400 capacity venue as 2nd support for "Starset" (currently #5 on Billboard charts with "My Demons") Starset singer Dustin Bates quoted "I love this I, Apollo EP. I never take it out of the CD player in my car".
Within the first 9 months of being mobile the band had played over 25 dates, toured out to San Antonio, Texas and back, made their first video with producer Corbin Thomas (Black Eyed Peas, Maroon Five, AMA Awards, Starset, here is the un released video) use password: wcm8117 https://vimeo.com/98939039  The band continues their online assault building a fan base for the 2015 release of the video and EP while planning and invisioning their future. The E.P, colorful from song to song pulls from the influence of Slipknot to Corpus Christie. Tie that with their good looks, great attitudes, physical live performances and impecable songwritting the four have found it easy to harness the power of attraction of fans of all ages. In a digital world where most conversations are held online, the band has recieved physical USPS mailings and art from fans. Creating their own market and building a solid base for longevity and sales. Passing out thousands of free demos that are being recieved extremely well, the band has been accomodated with 99.7 the Blitz loud and local radio play for the single "Surface". The song at this point has been downloaded thousands of times.
I'ts obvious I, Apollo mean business, building their team of proffesionals and endlessly promoting and playing shows while looking forward with intensity to enter strong into 2015 and beyond.
