This band began to get acquainted right after 9/11. Jason worked in WTC, and began working with Stephen at his office, since his got blown up. They soon realized they had a kindred musical spirit, and began sharing musical ideas. Both were occupied with other projects, but when they both became available again, the greatest magic happened. They began to truly collaborate and started recording original songs right away.
Like the Beatles ( a primary influence) , they both gravitate towards simple melodies with evocative harmonies. Lyrics tend to be universal themes that EVERYONE can identify with.
Steve and Jason go for the progressions and melodies that make you laugh while you are crying, and dance like no one is watching. Like Prince,
The band tries to capture snapshots of who we all are, and what we all feel, as well as what we CAN BE. Like Taj-Mahal, We smile at the world, and it hugs and kisses us back.
