Bio

Jason Craig (formerly known as Red-1) has made a name for himself all over the world. From djing for private events to festivals and sporting events, Jason has gained the attention and respect of everyone he performs for. Mentioned as “The Industry’s Most Versatile DJ,”
Jason Craig’s rise to headliner status began in country clubs and local bars in New York. He began getting noticed and even more exposure after djing for Chelsea Handler in Balitmore. From there, he djed for Big Sean, performed at M&T Stadium (Baltimore Ravens) and opened for 50 Cent, E-40, DRAM, Wale, Nina Sky, Sultan + Shepard, DJs From Mars, Riot Ten, and many others. Jason has been a DJ at SXSW 4 years in a row (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) performed at Neon Desert Music Festival 4 times and was a hype man for Peanut Butter Wolf at the Mother of Pearl Block Party in 2015.  In 2016, he linked up with Fifth (formerly known as The Fifth Estate) as his performance DJ.  Together, they have played over 30 shows/festivals, including SXSW, Neon Desert Music Festival, A3C 2018 & performed at the Facebook headquarters in California.
Originally from Orange County, Ca, his vivid personality and versatile song selection creates an atmosphere and experience that people will remember for a lifetime. "I represent California. It's where I grew up. Our style, our music, I just want to be able to show everyone how we get down in Cali," explains the Orange County native. He strives to express DJ authenticity while using turntables as his main choice of equipment while performing, however, he states that thrown on any equipment, he will get to business.
Jason Craig now resides in El Paso, Tx,  where he is UTEP’s DJ and resident DJ at Rubiks Arcade Bar, Good Times at 2626, Gringo Theory Patio Bar & Rowdy Beaver Dam Dive Bar and is the UTEP Basketball Official DJ.
