Nova

Supa Nova was born Aaron Gholar. Raised in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, IL Nova learned very early in life that music was his calling. The son of a pastor, Nova was surrounded by music in the church. Nova was also fortunate enough to be the son of two singers who encouraged him to learn the art of musicianship. Nova began his career in music playing the drums and the piano for his father’s church.

It was Nova’s transition away from home and into college that solidified his desire to be a musical artist. Nova began writing lyrics and crafting his own costume beats. Pushing his music around his local campus and with the release of his mixtape, Innovation, with fan favorites like “Eat It” and “Mizz Twerk Sum”, Nova became a topic of discussion around Illinois campuses. After touring the Illinois college circuit Nova decided to change his educational path. He found a new form of study in music and in his NuWav brand. Nova retired from college and moved back to Chicago to perfect his craft. Nova is managed by Dreams-Reality Enterprise & in April of 2013 he signed an independent label deal with SMG Global Network. Currently Nova is hard at work producing for various artists and working on his upcoming mixtape Bad News.
