"...Silhouette: Shauna Tohill’s project seems to be reaping real rewards. I caught the last few tracks of her set and the entire tent was singing along or clapping, while “Volume Destroyed” is one of my singles of the year. A bigger stage and a later slot please, Mr Glasgow...' - Secret Fireworks

Silhouette is the perfect enigmatic alias of a wonderful musical project created by a passionate Northern Irish songstress, Shauna Tohill whose main focus creatively is to inspire, touch and mend the hearts of anyone who is drawn in to listen.

Silhouette was created by Shauna Tohill in late 2007 after the break-up of her previous band, Angelfall. After great experiences in various bands, Shauna felt it was time to do something which she had always wanted to do... create music that broke down the boundaries of traditional line-ups providing a raw, honest and truthful edge, hopefully offering some kind of accessible and therapeutic effect — whilst continuing to place emphasis on the music as opposed to the creator.

She has been able to accomplish this with alot of help from her fantastic musical friends - Peter McCauley (DrumKit, Percussion and Vocals), Orla Rice (Double Bass and Vocals) and Zarah Fleming (Cello) who are the live band along with Shauna (Piano, Guitar and Vocals).

It really is a great project!

“Music for me is a therapy - to the body, mind and soul. It is something which has really effected, helped and inspired me throughout my life-time so far. Silhouette as an alias allows me to create and express music from a blank sheet and also have the freedom to work with many other musicians—making it an unlimited experience every time.” Shauna T
