Bio
I Am The Doorway is the project born of John Tully's vivid lyricism finding a backdrop in his minimalistic guitar playing, against the smooth singing of Chelsea Hall. The duo recorded their debut EP entitled "Love is Often Lost" in Winter of 2009. With influences ranging from Iron and Wine to The Decemberists to Tom Waits, this twosome presents stories perfectly told by quiet guitar and voices that blend together seamlessly. They were soon joined by Tim Lynch who provides the perfect missing element. They recently recorded their LP “Winter's Breath” with Sebastian Bartlett and Mike O’Neal at Dissonant Studios and AiW Studios in Arlington, VA.
