Bio

“ Everybody got a story. You know d’ghetto be” – s.

ian ,

Louis

even just Lou.

Which ever you decide to call him you’ll never forget Louisiana wit’ ian a. Louis.

(get it?)

While many kids from Uptown, New Orleans are expected to face similar hardships, the eldest of six siblings has written a new tale for himself and his city.

As best put by Lou, “ I was raised by hood cats; but not to be one.”

For the 25 year old, the age old ‘hood tale of death, dreams, cash and incarceration are nothing new. His father’s death when he was a toddler remains unresolved and his two younger brothers age 24 and 23 are both incarcerated.

Despite the odds, Lou has continued to pull away from the crowd and into the limelight. The low-key keyboardist has been producing tracks for artists around New Orleans for years and has been recently noted in cities such as Houston, Atlanta and Dallas. A five-time sound clash winner, he is currently hovering over the New Orleans music scene with an unexpected mix of Big Band, Dub Plate and Funk Melodies, not to mention a live set with a band and APC unprecedented by any Soul Hip Hop Artists. “The Rise of Usain Bolt” is the latest installation gracing The Loneliest Band in Town Mixtape Series with cookout worthy tracks of childhood in New Orleans, Summer Whip “slash” College Party knocking songs of Rock Star dreams, and playlist approved daily inspirations such as “God In Em and Runnin”, Lou seems to be Second Lining the world into a new era of consciousness and vibration.

“Mxtherfxck the world and come join the Band.”
