Roots Dancehall Artist, I Ancient, the Trinidad native residing in Northern Virginia who terms himself the GanJah Patient, winner of the 2009 New Artist Virginia Reggae Award, is a real revolutionary who is eager to voice himself in this new era where times are dread and Jah soldiers are stepping up. I Ancient is a dynamic singer/chanter/ and songwriter who has captivated his fans and audiences with his inspirational and uplifting lyrics.

I Ancient’s career began in 2005 and he got his first break in 2007 when he gave a memorable performance at the Zanzibar Nightclub in Washington, DC. Since then, his career has elevated and has allowed him and his music to breakthrough on the reggae market in many countries including: Africa, Spain, The Caribbean, The UK, and Germany to name a few. His first single, Mystery Babylon received rave reviews from the UK reggae news and landed a spot on the Global Reggae Selection Vol. 1 Compilation CD ( 2008 ). He has also performed live for many charities contributing to raising awareness and money for the education of the children of Shasamane, Ethiopia. Through his charity works, he continues to enlighten the people and spread Jah’s message with his positive vibes.

Recently, I Ancient was nominated for the 2010 Virginia Reggae Favorite Artist and Favorite Song ( Remember Me ) Awards.

Currently, I Ancient is steadily working in the studio on his Debut Album, Remember Me which will be released in September 2010. While in anticipation for his album release, other songs from this talented artist can be found at online music stores: rhapsody, itunes, amazon.com, and yahoo music.
