I and I

I And I hails from the Tampa Bay area, and consists of Andrew Alvarez (guitar), Leo Suarez (drums), William Hoffman (bass), and Laith Abdel-Rahman (vocals). Over two years as a band, we've come a long way in such a short amount of time on this musical journey. With all of us still learning and gaining experience every day, we as musicians continue to create solely for our love of music, and nothing else.

I And I carries out musical composition through the ways of the jam. Many influences can be heard in our songs, however to put a name or names of genres wouldn't be enough to describe it. Playing music is our ultimate desire, and in order to do so we play with no limits as to what we can do. Expanding upon our ideas through the instantaneous, adventurous, and collective feel of the jam, and not through a defined and already known picture of sound. As a result, we've written songs with each having it's own uniqueness.

I And I's resume of live shows contains the names of sweet bay area spots such as Cafe' Bohemia, Pangea Cafe', The Orpheum, Transitions, Mojo's Record Store. Some house shows and organized live music events on the underground level such as the Pangea Project and Circus Surreal are also a huge part of it. I And I is down to perform anywhere, with whomever, wherever, whenever, for anyone willing to listen or even bob heads to. Whether we play for twenty or one pair of ears, we go on stage for the music, and the music is for whoever is around to witness it.

I And I's history is still in it's infancy, however we plan on expanding upon that history for a great deal of time. This is just the beginning for us, and we can't think of words to express our gratitude to friends, family, and any others who actually care for what we do for their constant support since day one."
