Bio
Ian Edwards is a British-born, Jamaican, NY raised, and now LA-based comedian and writer.
After making a name on the highly competitive New York comedy Circuit, he made his British debut as part of Stand Up Black America at the 1993 Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
While in the states he put in appearances on TVs Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, comic view, and comedy central, before his clever writing landed him a move to Los Angeles to become a writer on the Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.
Since the cancellation of that show Ian has combined TV writing with a stand up career. He has gone on to write for Saturday Night Live, My Wife and Kids, MTVs The Lyricist Lounge show, ESPNs Morh Sports the Cartoon networks Boondocks, etc. Resent television appearances include a cast member of MTVs Punkd, Conan OBrian Comedy Central Live at Gotham, Craig Fergason, HBOs Bad boys of Comedy, BBCs The World Stands Up, etc. He is also featured on the Comedy Death-Ray album.
Simply put, if youre in the mood to laugh at yourself, life, this ridiculous world, go see an Ian Edwards show.
