Ibe Hustles

The first time I ever performed a live set, I rocked a small club in Boulder, Colorado. I had that club bouncing! Afterwards, I was approached by an older woman who had been in the crowd. I'm 18 years old, still wet behind the ears. My friends even had to sneak me in the club, just to do the show. Little did I know, what she would say to me would impact my life FOREVER. She says to me, "My 12 year old son loves hip hop(hard pause) and I hate it". "Wow", I said, slightly bewildered. She then proceeded to say, "after hearing you up there, the way you expressed yourself so beautiful and poetically, I have decided just to let my son love hip hop". It was like being struck by lightning. I stood in shock from her words for a moment, then replied, "Mam, if I never have another person say something like that to me for the rest of my years, you will have made it all worth it". From that very moment, I knew that this was destiny.

Ibe Hustles is a Colorado based hip hop artist who has been rocking stages at home and abroad since the late 90's. He proudly represents an independent, family operated record label branded, BLAST DECIBEL RECORDS. He is the proud father of four beautiful children, owns and operates several small businesses and is a large part of the foundation of the southern Colorado Hip Hop scene. His undeniably DOPE music is a direct reflection of the man that he is. His social/anti-political lyrics paint pictures of freedom for his listeners. His words are works of art, delicately placed to create mental visualization.
 
In his 15 year career as an emcee, Ibe Hustles has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with a good majority of his childhood heroes ( Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, KRS-ONE, Souls Of Mischief, The Beatnuts, Strong Arm Steady, Soul Live, Mr. Lif ) to name a few. From 2003-2006, he was one half of the legendary CO crew Working Class, along side fellow label mate DJ Prominent. In 2012, he toured the country with the Wu Tang Warghosts (Bomshot & Holocaust) as part of the Sign Of Hells Winter Tour.

In 2013 he released two music videos and his debut solo album, "Armed, Legged & Dangerous". He is highly regarded as an OG in the southern Colorado Hip Hop scene and continues to create his art for his fans to ride to. Ibe Hustles continues to follow his dreams of Moving Crowds and is currently working on several projects with various producers worldwide.
