Biography

Icaboyd - pronounced "Ikaboid" is the creation of Chris Tolentino. After playing the dynamic part of both bass player and lead vocalist for the Alternative Rock band 'SmudgeProof', Chris ventured into his solo project in early 2002. His first CD, self-titled, 'Icaboyd' was recorded in June 2002. Having songs that ranged from Hard Rock to humorous, such as the tracks "That Wasn't Chicken" and "Voodoo", the CD became an underground hit. "That Wasn't Chicken" was then added to the SW records compilation CD in July 2002. It was distributed to over 300 college and indie radio stations.

In May 2003 Chris moved on to record his second CD, titled, "Space Traveler". This CD began with the Hard Rock songs of "My Addiction" and "Little Steps", but also ventured into Pop and Jazz elements, with the songs "Soaring High" and "Let It Go". "My Addiction" was released on the Kid Antrim compilation CD in November 2003. It was distributed to indie radio stations worldwide.

With 2004 comes the latest Icaboyd CD, titled "Friday Night Disco". The first song "Carry Me On" was an instant hit and earned a spot on the One Way Magazine Holiday compilation CD in January 2004. It also received Honorable mention from the VH1 song of the year contest in June 2004. With a Dance, Pop, and Jazz style "Friday Night Disco" contains non-stop ear pleasing songs. As for the future, Icaboyd continues to write, play and record new music...
