Bio
Who are The ICE band?
Well, the ICE band is an original, contemporary 4 piece band based in Lancashire. They are inventive and curious; in turns relaxing or passionate; fiendishly hard to categorise yet perfect for any record collection in the land.
Featuring Janie on vocals and keyboards, Paul on guitars and vocals, Guy on Bass and percussion and Lynn on drums and vocals, they produce a unique and exciting sound which couples fascinating melodies with soaring and honest vocals.
They’re already building a cult following in the North West and are working on a new album which should be available towards the middle of 2010. Their 1st single was released in November 2009, called “Look Into My Eyes” it was a critical look at today’s obsession with celebrity. Their new single “Nothing’s Ever Real” is released June 7th 2010
The ICE band are unusual…
Four people, four musicians, four artists, four friends. Each with a role to play in making the Ice sound as unique as it is, a classic case of "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts"
They don’t write your standard love song, they write songs that make you think while you’re dancing to the catchy infectious melodies.
Inspired by artists too numerous to mention they cover a wide variety of genres including the hauntingly beautiful ballad “Why Do I Wake Up and Scream” through to the relentless raucousness of “Crazy as Me”
Past gigs include supporting Tom Hingley (ex-Inspiral Carpets) The Chorlton Arts Festival, the first ever Preston Tringe, The Rossendale Live Weekend, the Hyndburn Festival and the Apollo Theatre in Manchester.
