Bio

Ictus's story starts in September 2000 when the band originally started out life as a three piece, playing high energy "Skate Punk" influenced by bands such as Greenday, NOFX and The Ataris to crowds accross the midlands. In 2006 Ictus were scouted by Big M Records and released their first full length album titled "Punk Rock For Girls." This album was a big underground hit and attracted major names such as Sony BMG who eventually got involved with the band. With all this Ictus were then sent on a European tour supporting Ska legends The Specials. In 2009 the bands line up and general outlook had changed. The band recruited another drummer to replace Adam Gent so he could move up front to play guitar and exercise his natural talent for crowd interaction. They recruited Andy Winfield, an experienced drummer with a fresh look on writing. With the change, the bands sound has changed and matured. There music now has a Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects edge whilst still keeping it distinctly british and keeping their roots of skate punk. The band are now on the brink of releasing their new mini - album "Handmade & Homegrown" digitally released on 01-02-10 and distributed accross the world using itunes, napster, rhapsody, vodafone live, spotify plus many others. So the hope is for Ictus to make a real come back with a bang!
