Moscow, Moscow, RUS

Progressive electronic trio from Russia.

In The Gold Room single inspired DJ Koze for a few great remixes this summer.

Moscow clubs already opened all the doors for them.

ID10TS (can be pronounced Idiots) is a new experimental beats project that features Andrei Antonets from Alexandroid whose “Short Cuts” was one of the many overlooked masterpieces released on the Lo Recordings label some years ago, along with the vocals of Pavel Kamakin, art director of 16tons, one of the best clubs in Moscow. Add to them Ilya Shapovalov, one of the top 5 guitar players in Russia according to Rolling Stone (Russian edition), now you have a whole heap of talent on one black disc.

The first release of the trio was In The Gold Room single with mixes from DJ Koze.

The original “Gold Room” track is an extended mystical meditation with a spoken intro courtesy of the legendary Sun Ra whose wise words lead you into a new musical world where skewed electronics glide over persistent beats and delicate guitars chime along with harmonic male vocals that recall Brian Eno, Talking Heads and maybe Tarwater. This is followed by the inimitable DJ Koze doing his funky thing like only he can, turning the original into an essential piece of leftfield dance music that’s perfect for summer.
