Idefer brought a engaging stage presence as well as well-written, catchy rock songs to follow up the classic rockers in style. - Christian Henderson

After two years of playing in and around Boston, IDEFER has released their first album. Filled with party songs, bar songs, and straight-up rock songs, theres something for everyone who loves driving guitar riffs, rocking bass, unbelieveable drum playing, and a singer with some intense pipes. "Hey Waitress" consists of 11 tracks and has a flow to it to keep you wanting to hear song after song. The disc in general gives you all that and more in satisfying your hunger for Rock and Roll. - Richard Rossi, Second Rock Records

Those people who believe that creative pursuits are worthwhile in life say that if you find something that you love to do, and you do it with all of your heart, the rewards will follow. Of course, this is easier said than done. Art of all kinds is something that artists always question, always wondering if success is around the corner or if the rewards are going to be worth the effort, often wondering if they should be creating at all or if they should be pursuing some more concrete dream. True artists persevere because they are motivated by an internal drive that tells them that doing so is just right, and when they do, they excel because it’s true what they say; when you are motivated by your heart, what you create is pure and translates in to quality.

That appears to be the case for Idefer, a Massachusetts rock band which makes music because the members of the band are motivated by their love of the art. It’s clear in every line of every song that they absolutely love to rock out. And when a group gets together in which each member of the group is doing exactly what they love, exactly what they feel motivated to do, and the results are stunning. The band seems to just simply work, sharing their musical talent with the world out of a deep desire to be doing what they love.

The band just released their debut album, “Hey Waitress,” a collection of songs, which are fun to listen to because the music is good and the motivation behind the music is even better. From the vibrant guitar chords to the explosive vocals, the songs are lively. They are crafted for live performance, but the energy comes through on audio tracks, providing inspiration for those other creative souls out there who may wonder if their art is worth pursuing. - Kathryn Vercillo

"The only band with any outstanding talent was Idefer. Their guitarist could flat out play and their lead singer, although eccentric, was entertaining. Yet somehow, the judges under-ranked them at third" - The Bentley College Vanguard
