"Seeing Double"

SEEING DOUBLE…
December 9, 2009
By admin
There is something about a man who grinds his way to the top with dedication and drive. But it is something else entirely when there are two. The rap group IDENTICAL, made up of identical twin brothers, Santoine and Antoine Jackson, are two men who are giving others many reasons to reevaluate themselves.

Born May, 22nd, IDENTICAL has been on a lifelong grind to see their dreams of becoming successful come to fruition. In 1991, IDENTICAL started down the path to reach their goals by forming the group Hostile and released Stash Fa Da Drought. After years with this moniker and through some hard learned lessons, the duo decided in order to be successful, they needed be true businessmen and not just rappers. After this moment of clarity, the group decided to start their own record company, Neighborhood Music, and renamed themselves IDENTICAL.

Neighborhood Music has been in existence for 10 years and has helped IDENTICAL push further down its path to success. In those ten years, they have released 2 CDs, multiple ringtones and I-tune singles, and have had their names in multiple magazines, internet sites and radio shows alike. Their newest venture is their website moreidentical.com, which was started in September, 2009. This website features IDENTICAL’s web-based reality show, Interstate Identical, that follows their travels throughout the country and showcases their newest stepping stones in their career.

One of these stones is the Lose control remix featuring Vina Mills. The single was produced by Kidd at the infamous Studio A(where the likes of Em, Jay Z and Common have recorded) and is a hard hitting, club banger. IDENTICAL is in the process of releasing the single onto the world and it is slated to be another success for the duo and Neighborhood Music.

IDENTICAL are business men that happen to be rappers. They have done more in their short life times that many will not have on the resume at that conclusion of theirs. IDENTICAL’s continued vision and accomplishments is sure to put further pressure on others to step their grind up.

Inkster, is a small “country town” with a “big city” hustle and grind but it’s Michigan.

"Welcome ta' Inksta album review"

IDENTICAL
'Welcome Ta Inksta'
(Neighborhood Music)
www.cdbaby.com/identical

This here is one of the hardest and the realist albums from Michigan I've heard in a long time. Straight Outta Inksta, Michigan Identical are two twins that can pack a lyrical punch. On this album they take you through the struggle and they express it so real you could image seeing it yourself. All im saying is I wouldn't be surprised if these cats where big in the future because these cats are straight fire. Favourite tracks definitely include 'N Da Streets', the ghetto anthem 'Sleepless Nites' and without a doubt the heaviest track on the album, the emotional smash 'On Da Luv'. Overall this is one of the hardest albums I've heard this year, I really can't see these cats staying unsigned for long.

IDENTICAL

Born May 22, 1982 , in Inkster , MI Identical twins Santoine and Antoine Jackson have been musically inclined since birth. In 1991, the two decided it was time to share their story of struggle and street life through rap. Inspired by God, friends, love and fellow rappers Esham and The Dayton Family, it was then the duo became Hostile. The name reflected their “way of hitting the beat with such hostility”.

Hostile’s initial flavor mimicked that of Esham, Ice Cube and Eazy-E and used lyrics typical of the Geto Boys members as a basis for their life style. On a course for imminent disaster, the twins became engulfed in the street life which they so passionately rapped. However, upon the incarceration of a close friend in 1996 and the untimely death of another in 1999, Hostile reevaluated their lives and decided it was time for a change. But this change was put on hold in 2003, when the group suffered a major set back due to the incarceration of one of its members. During these unpleasant times, the brothers came to realize how important music was to them. Shortly after jailed twins’ release, the two decided to it was time for a change, and their entertainment company Neighborhood Music was born.

Since then, Hostile became IDENTICAL and has been unstoppable ever since. IDENTICAL launched www.moreidentical.com along with the new web sensation,
Interstate IDENTICAL, which is a web, based series that follows IDENTICAL all over the world as they grind their way to the TOP. IDENTICAL has been making a name for themselves in the music industry and gaining press and notoriety like no other group in Inkster , MI history. Equipped with an innovative sound, a unique flavor and a few hit records, IDENTICAL continues to make a mark for them. They are taking their rightful place in the music industry, which is among the stars!
