"IDestiny Special: Fresh Dubstep + Exclusive Interview"

So how did your musical beginning aspire?
My musical beginning all started at age 13 when I moved to Connecticut in America and my best friend at the time randomly said to me one day, “You know what we should do? …We should start a band.” Even though we never started one, me having never even thought of music in that light before, it struck a curiosity and has been a life decision ever since.
I did however spontaneously decide to play trombone when I was 10 and performed a solo at a school concert, but I was more interested in how obscure and different the instrument was rather than music itself then.

Where has your music career taken you so far?
Throughout the years I’ve gone under many aliases and played in many groups. I’ve never written just one genre as I’m too in love with every one, which is why I decided my music career and outlet would be as a producer. But before I made that decision I started playing in bands as either a drummer, bass player or guitarist until I decided to write my own material starting a band of my own and the occasional side project, some of which I went under as an artist. All of which I produced all my material, but never considered it “producing” since I just considered it to be the way I could achieve the sound I wanted, not to mention the obvious fact of not having to pay for a time at a studio.
It was only till late 2010 when I decided to be a producer and gain the confidence to record other people as well as myself. As being an artist, I found my message as an individual was not going to be achieved with a group. That’s when IDestiny came into the picture of summer 2011 to summer 2012 battling myself for a year till early hours of the morning learning how to create the sound in EDM I wanted. IDestiny has truly answered to me as an artist because it involves everything I’ve ever learned as a person and everything I’ve done in music into one.

Your SoundCloud music tends to be up-beat, pop/dubstep remixes and originals. Who influenced you to go in this direction?
I wouldn’t say the sound of IDestiny has been inspired by WHO I aspire and listen to. I believe I’ve always created a sound of mine amongst the genres I’ve written. I listen and observe too many artists and things in life to be inspired by a collection of people.
I will say my roots are from rock and atmospheric instrumental music though, so I suppose that’s why I’ve always had a more grimier yet heavily layered musical style. If I can’t feel what I’m writing then I will have already moved on before deciding.

What is it like to be apart of the diverse UK EDM scene?
I might be English, but I actually live in Dallas, TX. I travel and have moved quite a lot so don’t consider myself to be any part of any region or scene, more of the world as a whole since that is what my goal is anyway. Heck, let’s go for Venus and Mars while I’m at it!

What software do you use to create your sound?
I produce all my electronic and IDestiny material on Ableton and ‘real-instrument’ related genres on ProTools.

Any future plans such as new record label signings, tours, or new music releases?
Most definitely. Future plans are all I think of!
Currently I’m finished a few remixes and working on a few originals with a few artists like Starship Romance, Goldhouse and much more back in Dallas. In March, I’m releasing a remix EP of my single “Tired Of Waiting” featuring various producers I’ve networked with around the world. I should start plays shows soon and I’m planning for an original EP for late summer. All the background activity is secret though. ;) - BrainlessBeats.com

"IDestiny"

I love music happenstances. Just finding killer tunes when you not even looking is the best. IDestiny in particular is my massive musical discovery for the day. I calm across his name in the “Best SLAPS of 2012? comment section on thissongslaps.com (Yea I’m one of those people that actually reads those) and I’m happy I looked into it. ID’s got a library chalk full of beautiful beats and has only been developing tunes as IDestiny since this summer! Blows my mind.
He has four remixes and two originals in his arsenal and by the looks of it is already turning some of the heads in the blogosphere. Tracks dropped below, give him a listen and support his shit! (SC) (FB)
Especially while they’re still free, this guy’s bound to go somewhere and I can’t see that “free schtick” lasting much longer ;) - Loud Lava Lamps

"I Hate Music by Aaron Wayne (IDestiny Remix)"

From the electro to the dubstep influences, everything about this track screams big-room from the top of its lungs. This is one for the record books, with enough massive energy to go for years. This remix takes the fast energy of the original, slows it down to glitch speed, and totally funkifies everything. Go grab this download while you can, because this is a gem to remember. - GlitchHop.net

"Not Over by IDestiny"

One thing's definitely for sure: IDestiny's career is certainly "not over". Featuring all the elements a commercial big-room house track needs to survive and succeed, this one masters every section brilliantly. We absolutely love the drop, the way it just blasts through the speakers, and we were completely captivated by the chords and vocal ideas in the breakdowns. We really look forward to what this guy will produce in the near future. - House.net

"IDestiny - Tired Of Waiting"

WOW! I was browsing through our inbox of song submissions from our submission page late last night and stumbled across this incredible glitch-hop original titled ‘Tired Of Waiting’ coming from a very underrated young producer going by IDestiny. ‘Tired Of Waiting’ covers every component necessary along the road to making a remarkable bass anthem by leading off with rowdy vocal samples linked to hard-hitting drums, deep bass snares & growls, colorful atmospheric textures, and energetic flowing melodies. If IDestiny is tired of waiting to be discovered, I’m glad that I’ve finally found this hidden gem. Enjoy! - ThisSongSlaps.com
