Bio

If a Tree Falls is an Alternative/Rock/Pop band from Rocklin California. We have been playing live shows since the fall of 2007. During this time, we have grown greatly as musicians and become a prominent band in our area. We now are looking to expand our audience and get a feel for playing more shows in a variety of venues and locations. During our time playing we have played many shows from coffee shops to benefit concerts that helped our school win a national Invisible Children fundraising competition. Among our many shows, two particularly stand out. In November 2008, If A Tree Falls entered Club Retro’s annual battle of the bands. This is a three day concert event that bands of all styles and ages can perform in. Even though we were the very first band to perform on the first night of the competition, we were awarded 5th place out of 30+ bands. A second great accomplishment is the Sacramento News and Review’s JAMMIES competition. This competition is open to performers under the age of 20. To be accepted to the first round we sent in video footage of us playing two of our songs. After the semi final round in January we progressed to the finals which take place in Sacramento’s Crest Theater which seats over 900 people and was full the night of the show. In this competition, based primarily on ticket sales, we placed 4th. After we played our set, we were approached by a filmmaker for the Sacramento Film Festival, and because he liked our sound as well as the way we look and interact with the crowd on stage, he offered to make us a music video for the festival. We have finished filming and anxiously await the video's release in Aug 2009.

We also have more media, a calendar, letters of recomendation and more on our other EPK website:
