"Turning Your Back on the Crowd Review"

"With the debut of their EP, "Turning Your Back on the Crowd," the alternative-pop group If But When makes it extremely difficult to deny their talent. This not-so-unlikely quartet delivers seven tracks of stripped down power-rock. The gem of the EP is "Never Change;" this catchy, in-your-face, heartfelt ballad exudes confidence and proves that this band is radio ready. The sound is dead on and each member of the group brings their own complimentary flare to the finished product. The promising If But When indisputably sounds like they fell into greatness and truly deserve to win the rock-lottery. " - Anna Gianotti, UGroove Online

Bio

If But When is a catchy pop/rock band from New York City. Four friends bound by a passion for making melodic, heartfelt rock and roll, they have been performing throughout the five boroughs, Westchester and beyond since early 2008. In that time they have regularly played to packed houses at legendary New York City venues like The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways and Arlene's Grocery. Their songs have received airplay on Matt Pinfield's Morning Show on 101.9 RXP and Westchester's 107.1 The Peak. They have also been fortunate enough to open for such noted acts as John Nolan (Taking Back Sunday), Nightmare of You and Socratic. Their deeply personal songs are filled to the brim with hooks, and will no doubt have you singing along by the time the second chorus rolls around.
