Feeling refreshingly crunchy Rick Wade’s title track sequences deep and dark Disco together with tough edged House Music that temptingly comes as a limited 300 only coloured vinyl release. Warped keys deliver an unnerving basis for the track which then repeats until distraction with heavy-duty beats and splashes of strings driving it all forward. The remix comes from Deep88 whose punchy tech bassline adds fuel to the fire with the keys reworked but still very much in evidence. Next comes the super-funky, ‘Funkopolis’ which again loops the groove into an irresistible work out, this time sounding more soulful with the added punch of perky bass guitar and meandering electric piano notes feeling emotive and sumptuous. Emotions One Take Jam Edit then finishes with gritty drums and moody electronics also sounding completely compelling.

RYMD Records makes its first release with a two-tracker from London’s Emotion. Home to a couple of tough bare landscapes, this EP is pretty straightforward in terms of drums and percussion and leans towards its harder, almost acidic characteristics.

The record reminds me of a couple of Styles Upon Styles releases; it carries a similarly sinister and gritty affect as some Gut Nose material. Meanwhile, the stripped down approach and techy synth warbles make me think of Wilson, Moeller and Certain Creatures’ Spectrum EP. Pressed on a colored slab of wax, it could readily add a pair of gritty, textured mixing tools to one’s arsenal. - Phonologue

Zooming in on the Argentinian label, 'Music, Women, Money Records'. This prolific label hit the charts on the electronic scene from their opening release, Traxx EP in 2011. This deep-house production included remixes by the legendary Philadelphia producer, Someone Else and the promising, May Segui.

Traxx EP is the result of a brilliant collaboration between the label's two founders, Luciano and Ignacio Villarreal Sietetrece. A DJ/Producer straight from Cordoba, Argentina, Sietetrece had been organizing underground events in his hometown which later lead him to create his notorious collective, 713.

The label's objective is to promote artists from the underground scene who offer a refreshing new take on the genre of deep house. The idea met early success with its first release of May Seugi, an extremely talented South American artist. A Paris native, based in Argentina, Segui had gained attention from his past remix for the Traxx EP. In his solo EP, Il Mare, we're absorbed into his world of intoxicating ambient sounds and hypnotic melodies. The EP is given that extra touch by Argentinian producer, Franco Cinelli and his beautiful remix of Segui's work.

Rumor has it a future collaboration is underway with Detroit's renowned Rick Wade.. Nos encontramos ante la primera referencia de un sello creado en Barcelona. Los argentinos Ignacio Sietetrece y Luciano Villareal inician con paso firme el camino de Music Women Money que, aparte de ser tres de las cosas más importantes en la vida de muchos, en un sello que pretende asaltar la escena deep house con más criterio de lo habitual y en vinilo, como más nos gusta. El release contiene un sólo corte original a cargo de los capos del sello y dos remixes, uno a cargo del prometedor May Segui y otro obra del ya mítico Someone Else.

Nos hemos quedado sin palabras, la referencia es un pelotazo de inicio a fin y una muestra más del rol ‘invernadero’ que la capital catalana está adquiriendo dentro de la escena europea. Los tres temas contenidos en el Ep son de buen groove y un sonido tremendamente limpio. Pero sin duda destacamos el trabajo de Someone Else en su remix, un alarde de confianza en si mismo y buen hacer que le dota de la capacidad de elaborar su receta de deep house desmarcándose de los sonidos más típicos, un viaje hipnótico y de reminiscencias místicas, con percusiones metálicas extrañamente líquidas y sensuales atmósferas vocales.
