It doesn't get any better than this. Ignorant Misfortune, an
Alternative / Pop / Rock band from Powder Springs Georgia, [ right outside the city of Atlanta ] is a newer band to the music scene.

Ignorant Misfortune just got back into to studio to bring out their newest hits in their 2007 EP (untitled). These 5 tracks include:
Cure for The Common Cold, She Luvs Me Not, Candle Light Fades Away, Emogene, & One Last Chance.
With such intensity, it's hard to believe the members of this
band are still in high school. Group members devote most of their time to the
music. They just can't help it. "I write lyrics most of the time in class. I
usually pretend that I am writing notes or something," Hilton said. "It's all I
can think about."
> This Alternative Rock group is inspired to create by Blink 182, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters,
Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pearl Jam. Band members pulled together
as a group in 2005, but have been playing together for years. "Stephen [drummer] and I
have been playing together since 8th grade," Hilton said. "We started writing
music and knew we had to find a bassist."
> IGNORANT MISFORTUNE is becoming more and more popular playing at
venues in and around the Atlanta area such as: The Loft, The Vinyl, Swayze's Venue,
The Warehouse, The Masquerade, Club 29, Insomnia, Under The Couch... and many more. Now the group wants to step up and get ready

"Cut N Paste" EP 2006



Ignorant Misfortune, founded in 2005 by Lead Guitarist / Lead Vocalist Collin Hilton, Kris Smith on Bass / Backing Vocals, Donald Gongaware on Rhythm Guitar / Backing Vocals, and finally Stephen Cannon on drums. Ignorant Misfortune cut its newest release Cut N Paste EP in the fall of 2006. Cut N Paste is a cross between Alternative Rock and Pop. The album was produced by Executive Producer / Legendary drummer Cliff Davies with Recording Engineer Jason Beever. The album is produced with creative and literate lyrics that anyone can relate to. Since the band's debut in 2005, the groups ability to become one with its audience has tacked on a countless fan base. Fans support Ignorant Misfortune's history of winning The Battle of the Bands in 2006. They supersede band performances at Atlanta-area venues such as The Masquerade, The Vinyl, The Loft, Swayze's Venue, Club 29, Under The Couch, Insomnia and The Warehouse. This creative four-member Alternative/Pop band is just getting started. The bands dedication to both alternative music and its fans guarantees a future in the music industry.
