Poised. Perplexed. Passionate.

If these three words were a song, JMK would sing them, because there is something quite alluring about a woman that know's who she is and isn't afraid to share it with the world.

That said, this former a-cappella nerd and one-time musical theater major finds, that like many women, she had a bad habit of keeping her vulnerability wrapped in barbed wire. Getting "close" has never really been an option... except through her music.

To the select few that to scale the fence, inside is a magnificent, well-plotted world, just waiting to be unleashed. A private Narnia, unveiled in song.

Her music focuses on real-time issues. Love & heartbreak, friendship, honesty, social injustice, confidence and more; she approaches these topics with blunt wit and sarcasm.

In her song "You'll Be Sorry" she jokes, "Boy you be good to be or you'll be sorry / I dunno just what you heard about me / but I might break your face, if you go break my heart!" Singing what many people think but don't have the audacity to say out loud.

A multi-instrumentalist & playing both saxophone and what she called "plunking" on the piano (chords enough to write her melodies and create her songs). She speaks french and a bit of spanish, courtesy of her newfound obsession with Rosetta Stone.

Prior to performing full-time, she world a series of music-related jobs including Business Development at a major recording studio in NYC and music publicity.

The three main issues she cares about are: Education, Women & Girls and Human Trafficking. When she is not performing, she actively volunteers with nonprofits such as:
