"Ileana"

...her voice is so full and unbridled, it's hard to believe that it comes from that petite, seemingly shy sweetheart on stage.
-The Rag, Vol. 1, Issue 2

Ileana's voice is like electrically charged velvet. On some songs it is raw like lightning and other songs it is polished and soft. It has an energy all to itself.
-Fletch, Bandwear.com

I found it reassuring that someone could be this introspective and still sing with a smile... Ileana is someone to watch out for in the scene!
-Lee Sipes, MonkeyWrench, Vol. 1, Issue 1

Ileana's voice can be sweet as honey or powerfully compelling. Her [songs] are thoughtful and make wonderful use of vivid lyrics and melodic twists.
-Michael Henningsen, Weekly Alibi, Vol. 9, Issue 34

Bio

ILEANA BURDINE

ILEANA showcases her own brand of Folk Flavored Pop in her latest release from Reality Chick Records, "Super Ordinary Girl." See what the critics are saying:

-Honorable Mention in Billboard's 13th Annual Song Contest for the songs "Hold Me", "What R U So Afraid Of" and "Waiting So Long"
-Voted Best Musical Production-Adult Contemporary for the song "Barely" by the New Mexico Music Industry Awards
-Voted Best Female Vocalist, Best Songwriter and Musician of the Year by the Weekly Alibi
-Honorable Mention in Billboard Song Contest for the song "I Would"
-Finalist for Best Song for the song "I Would" by the New Mexico Music Industry Awards

ILEANA's music is as diverse and beautiful as the New Mexico desert she hails from. With a pop voice reminiscent of Jewel and Dido, she sings sultry ballads like "Unworthy" and "Better Than Okay." Her vocal versatility shines through on songs like Secret Sunshine and What R U So Afraid Of where hints of Michelle Branch and Sheryl Crow come through. With a voice described as 'electrically charged velvet,' she creates music that has already garnered a large fan base in the Southwest. ILEANA continues that trend in her current home of Los Angeles by performing songs that reflect unflinching honesty. "Super Ordinary Girl" captures their characters in the moment of awareness- this is who I am right now, for good or bad- and that bare emotion is evident in her voice and lyrics.

ILEANA teams up with again with producer Peter Torsiello, whose credits include Third Watch and That 70's Show, to record brilliant performances which showcase her vocal strength and subtleties while staying true to her powerful storytelling. They're working in his Southwest studio of The Red Room in order to capture on tape that desert longing which is ever present in her voice in live performances. This new CD has a release date of May 2007. It delivers an incredible work of songwriting and performance that prove that nothing about Ileana is ordinary at all.
