Illdana
Sultry & Sexy, Illdana is pure eyecandy for the soul. Like many artist before her, Illdana expressed an interest in singing, songwriting and entertaining at a very young age. A native of Winnipeg, this young budding artists first performance, was at the request of her cousin to sing at their wedding with a live band. Little Illdana jumped at the opportunity to show people what she could do. After wowing the crowd with her own rendition of Celine Dions The Power of Love calls began to pour in for the little girl with the big voice to sing at other weddings, fundraisers, socials and parties all over town.
Growing up, I was the ugly duckling out of the pack, says Illdana, whos trademark is a white swan. I remember in school, I was always teased or called names by the other kids, constantly pushed around. Then, having people who said they were my friends, just to turn around and stab me in the back. It was really hard for me,I always felt different, alone like I didnt belong. My only friend was Celine Dion. When I sang her songs I felt beautiful.
When Illdana reached high school, singing solos with the school choir and talent shows became outlets of choice for her creativity. During her senior year she was asked to join forces with a well-liked hip-hop trio around the school called The Crown Royals, who needed a female voice to sing hooks and give there male admires something to look at when they performed. She coincided with there plea, and began writing songs and contributing ideas to the groups look, image, style and stage show. The Crown Royals recorded a song that was featured on a popular Winnipeg radio station. At the request of many high school students all over the city, Millie Max garnered allot of airplay witch in return created a buzz on the group. Illdana said, after hearing herself on the radio then watching the reaction from friends and family, she was hooked and thats when she made the decision to move to Toronto right after high school. Equipped with arousing passion, Illdana embarked on journey to seize her dreams.
