Bio

Illest Uminati (fka Young Jay) was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest from the Salish and Kootenai Native American Reservation in Western Montana to Eastern and Central Washington State. In the summer of 2007 Illest Uminati known then as Young Jay linked up with Cordell Drake's Holy Fam group from Spokane, WA and Blaq Santa from Yakima, WA to form the Nine Side Click/Movement by the end of the year they released “Compact Dope” a mixtape that gained a major regional and online buzz. In-between 2008 and 2012 under the name Young Jay, he released five "Northwest Kingdom" Pre-Album Mixtapes, a street album named "Suga Duga Hollywood" and Hosted a Slew of other Mixtapes. In December of 2012 Young Jay had decided it was time to step up his lyrical content and stage presence and so then the transformation into Illest Uminati began. Illest Uminati released "The Higgs Boson EP" digitally worldwide on April 26th, 2013 with features from Stevie Stone, Twisted insane and more. In the summer of 2013 Illest completed his first national headlining tour 'The Illumniation Tour" while enlisting artist for his Illest Alumni Movement. Magazine). Illest is now hard at work on his next project "#ILLMERICA" with features from Hopsin, Kutt Calhoun and Stevie Stone set to release 4/1/14.
