Bio

IllmindsInc. is an experiment in transculturation.

Bringing together a burgeoning collective of MC's and producers from the distant corners of Puerto Rico, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Russia, India and Kingston, Jamaica at the epicenter of cultural divergence, NYC, the goal is simple: to put out Hip-Hop with a fierce devotion to quality control.

No tricks, no, gimmicks; just that pure unadulterated raw shit. How it was intended to be.

In 2009, I.M.I will be promoting their premiere artist, Abstract Vision, who will be dropping his Anxiety Attack mixtape in Feb 2009. A follow-up full length will drop near the end of 2009 and will be available through iTunes.

With an unyielding commitment to the music and the art, Abstract Vision wrote and wrote, filling his bedroom with dozens of rhyme books, manifestations of the trials and tribulations of his adolescence. Slowly, his delivery became sharper and his lyrical content even more intelligent. At the age of 22, he is finally ready to release his first professional mix tape entitled Anxiety Attack, an absolutely innovative Hip-Hop work in both its musical landscapes and its lyrical wizardry. As a solo Hip-Hop artist from the New York City South Asian-American community, Abstract Vision is truly a representation of the culture of his native city, a place where cultures collide and coalesce. Abstract Vision hopes to build on the legacy of his predecessors while still contributing something new and fresh to a game as old as empire.
