Bio

Born Gary Anthony Sturgis, Illuminati was destined for success. At an early age, he decided to pursue music through the encouragement of his parents. After playing piccolo and leading the woodwind section of the school band for a couple of years, he decided to try out for Drum Major. He began leading the band, and has been a leader ever since. In high school he began working in theatre as an actor. On stage, he found his true calling. Illuminati, then Gary Sturgis found work on film projects as they came to town. He appeared in “BLAZE”, “THE BIG EASY” and a few made for DVD releases before uprooting and moving to Los Angeles. He can currently be seen in Tyler Perry’s “DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN” as Jamison Milton Jackson.Pursuing acting full tilt, he found work on hit shows like THE DISTRICT, NYPD BLUE, MALCOM & EDDIE and the now defunct ABC soap PORT CHARLES. He worked with Busta Rhymes in a MOUNTAIN DEW commercial. He did commercials and print ads for DODGE NEON. But his biggest success came from his raspy baritone voice when he began doing voice promotion for UPN. He has been heard across the nation promoting shows like MOESHA, HALF & HALF, GIRLFRIENDS, THE PARKERS and ALL OF US to name a few. The voice of Illuminati was used to promote hit feature films like THE OTHERS, TORQUE, BONES, THE BROTHERS, THE WOOD, BLUE STREAK and the Brittany Spears movie CROSSROADS. He is the voice of many TV and radio commercials as well. He is the voice of the Phantom Virus in the Scooby Doo DVD SCOOBY DOO AND THE CYBERCHASE and he currently voices the shadow villain EBON on the Kids WB cartoon STATIC SHOCK.Illuminati decided that it was time to get back into music. He took his earnings in voiceover and built a recording studio. He named it GEMSound Recording and set up shop in Beverly Hills. He then started GEMFilmworks Corporation to facilitate his screenwriting and producing dreams. The next logical step was PREDATOR RECORDS. Illuminati, now having tons of mic experience, recorded his first album, MASS APPEAL. It was released through Internet distribution and had nominal success. This time, he decided there is strength in numbers, and incorporated the help of the acts you see present on this label. This time, he is seeking major label distribution for his entire label as opposed to a record deal for himself. Having an eye for talent, he has assembled the best of the best-unknown talent in town; and together, they are poised and ready to take the world by storm. Every act featured on Predator Records has a completed, marketable project ready for public consumption. Illuminati is also a screenwriter. He has several screenplays for sale and scheduled for production to promote his label. PREDATOR RECORDS PRESENTS: Illuminati: CEO, and the new face in rap music.
