It's like what the soundtrack to High Fidelity would be like if it were all electronica. A bit of electro, a bit of dubstep, a bit of mash-up, a bit of everything, and all of it's pretty odd yet strangely danceable.

Biography

illwiththeconsumption is an electro/glitch/dubstep project by Thom Butler from Denver, CO. As an avid music dork, Thom's list of musical influences is a long one indeed; this tends to show in his final results.

At the present, Thom is working on a dubstep EP and an electro/glitch EP centered around track Lame Genius, which may snowball into a full LP release. Not much else can be said about this until some progress is made.

Thom entered the University of Colorado at Denver in late 2002 and, eventually, emerged in one piece (mostly) with a Bachelor of Science in Music degree. While enrolled in UCD's music program, he became interested in sound design and music theory. In late 2008, he began playing with DJ software and, after figuring that he could only do so much with it, decided to pick up music production under the 'illwiththeconsumption' name.
