a real find in NYC (by way of Keene, NH,) duo I love you create lo-fi garage rock with touches of Portishead, Stereolab and Shutter to Think. The tune "Well, I might Grow Wings" makes their new cd gravitas worth buying. - the Village Voice
There are times, though they are rare, when this scribe will plug a new CD into the player for review puposes and will become totally mesmerized by what's playing that the task at hand becomes impossible to complete. Such is the case in reviewing the two cds submitted by New-York-City-via_keene, NH own I love you. This duo consisting of Paul on all instruments and thrush voiced Edi, on vocals, operated from a DIY aesthetic releasing their own home recorded 4-track discs on their own label with no distrubution whatsoever. Musically, I love you is a striking melange of atmospheric Britpop, experimental eurodisco, and American indie rock cool. Fans of stereolab, komeda, Portishead, the early Cure and Ivy should definitely seek these out as they are in a word great. - The Big Takeover
...sounds like as if Courtney Love took some really good acid and decided to record with Robert Smith in Daniel Johnston's padded cell... - the Noise Boston
