Bio

Il Pozzo di San Patrizio was started in winter 1998 in Salerno (Campania, Italy) and it is one of the most appreciated folk rock band in Europe. This is proved by the great success obtained in the Altri Tempi European Tour 2004, the tour in the Netherlands and Germany in December 2005 and the partecipations at important continental manifestations: F.I.M.U. (Belfort, France), Folkwoods (Eindhoven, Netheland), Oerol Festival (Terschelling, Netherland) and Museum Festival (Frankfurt, Germany).
After a first approach to folk music, the band developed a style characterized by different musical influences, that create an amazing show.
The actual musical research want to reach a modern sound trough the use of acoustic instruments fused to analogical effects, so a little bit of electronics, folk, upbeat guitars, but also a lot of funny rock.
The first cd is the homonym "Il Pozzo di San Patrizio" a self-production of 2001. In 2003 the band published the second cd "Altri Tempi" and, in summer 2006, the third one, "Lucidamente", for the prestigious Milan label Ethnoworld with Venus distribution. In May 2008 Il Pozzo di San Patrizio published for UPR/EDEL, the most important Italian folk rock label, the cd “Hard Folk Cafè”, which contains some of the most loved hits of the band and an homage to Vasco Rossi, with the song “Cosa Succede in Città”, sung with Lino Vairetti, the Osanna's singer, historical band of Italian Prog.

The French experience preceded the successes of the band in the European Tours of June 2004 (NL,D) and of December 2005 again in Holland, by now a second home for the crew.
