Acticle read:

Sun, sand and country music was the theme of a hospital fundraising event held on the Canada Day weekend.
The Corral, along with KX96 radio station and Molson Canadian, presented the Charity Beach Bash, held at Martin Gerrits and Sons Limited, in Bowmanville, as a fun way to help the community and raise money for Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.
"We wanted to do something extra" says Cindy Chandler, The Corral's general manager.
The Corral used dunk tanks, beach volleyball and lots of live music, including performances by Aaron Pritchett, Double Clutch'n with Anne Finley, The Ilse Themen Band, and Friendly Fire, Bowmanville's fire-fighter's band. - Express Entertainment (July 05 2006)

"PORT COLBORNE ON HIS MIND"

PORT COLBORNE ON HIS MIND Frank Rondell brought his tribute act of soul legend Ray Charles to the Roselawn theatre in Port Colborne Sunday afternoon, delighting the crowd his renditions of classic songs like Georgia and Hit The Road Jack. Ilse Themen opened the show with her tribute to Billie Holliday, including great versions of Summertime and Fever. The two ended the show with a duet version of Night and Day that brought the house down.

Bio

Influenced by phenomenal artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Billy Holiday, Rita Chiarelli, Reba McEntire, Melissa Etheridge, Amanda Marshall and so many more, could very well be the reason why Ilse is so versatile in almost any genre of music. Her song writing and music style is country with an edge. The "edge" being, blues, rock or R&B. She's a hard hitter filed under Country/Rock.

Paying tribute to the "Blues", is still very much a part of Ilse's life. Her Billy Holiday tribute is one not to be missed! In her act, she sings the greats, such as "Summertime", "God Bless the Child", "Good Morning Heartache", and of coarse, "Lady Sings The Blues". Ilse has performed as the opening act for Frank Rondell (Tribute to Ray Charles) which includes closing the show with "Night and Day"! Quite the show stopper!

When performing Blues/Jazz with her 4 pc band, Ilse loves to keep the music uptempo, happy, and sexy. Playing anything from BB King to Wynonie Harris.
Please check set list (above) for a partial list of blues/Jazz songs I.T.B would perform for Blues Venues!
