"IMANI CHYLE, ROCK/RAP GODDESS, COMMANDS THE HOUSE OF BLUES, ANAHEIM, AS HER OWN PALATIAL DOMAIN"

The thing about Imani Chyle is that she’s kinda like a car crash… you can’t stop watching. But I mean this in the best possible way. Imani is a surprise. She’s a delightful gem with whom the audience members all glance around at each other and nod knowingly, “We’ve discovered the next hottest thing and we’ll be there as the rest of the world discovers her!”
Reluctant Houston transplant via Atlanta, Imani now calls Southern California her home. I say “reluctant” because she came out to the West Coast nine months ago under the assurances of a tour by a San Diego promoter who failed to come through.

True to her Warrior nature, this survivor has triumphed over homelessness, broken promises and disillusioned band mates. As she sings in Warrioress, “ain’t no stopping me now, I’m well on my way. I’m fighting through my pain, I’m dancing in the rain, and I’m breaking off the chains. I’m fighting for my soul, survivin’ in the cold, I’m in the wilderness walking down a tight road…”

Imani and her troupe, four-piece band, three back-up vocalists and three dancers, were the opening band on a chilly night last February, but let me tell you, they started a bona fide bonfire in the House of Blues. Imani knew the full house wasn’t necessarily there to see her, but she also knew to take full advantage of the opportunity.
Imani Chyle rocked the house! With a blazing internal fire that transcended the stage, she bounced around on stage with her dancers behind her in a kinetic frenzy that can only be described as ritualistic, earthy and emotional. Her perfect blend of rap, funk and rock create a symphony of audible delights that tickle the sensorial palette and indulges one’s guilty pleasure.
As Imani prepares to commandeer the Utica Music and Arts Fest, NY, on September 16-17, 2011, simply by her amazing stage presence, lyrics and vocals, the East Coast is sure to be in alliance for once with the West Coast as the audience members nod in agreement….

""Imani Chyle is a hot artist from Atlanta, GA""

"Imani Chyle is a hot artist from Atlanta, GA that titled her album to described her style “Outside da box,” she’s a female packing a lot of power that lays on top of beats and oozes out of the speakers! Imani places herself in categories such as Soul, Rock, Pop, and Rap. A woman like Imani definitely has the power to inspire many with her talent; I took a listen to the track “Soul n Rock & Roll” and instantly fell in love with the track that speaks about the artist fueling two genres together! Imani Chyle already has a list of accomplishments and I can’t wait until April when she takes your ears Outside da Box! Check out Soul & Rock n Roll! - BigFan Base

Bio

Imani Chyle is aloof to the fact that her mere presence and devoted work ethic have garnered every single win that she is currently experiencing. The drawbacks of working in the music industry have stretched far and wide for this budding star. It was the ability to pursue her passion that this music impresario has had the ability to overcome these obstacles, Very little else outside of her music career and her family matter.

She is Imani Chyle of Houston, Texas. Born and blessed with the ability to rock from an early age, Chyle was singing at 5 years old and writing lyrics by the time she was 12. By the late 90’s Chyle took on the moniker MC Bytch and formed a rap group known as 2Aggrivated. Once their first demo was released the local Houston underground scene embraced the new rap duo. With heavy bass laden tracks and hardcore gangster lyrics, the group positioned themselves to win immediately signing a management deal. Faith and work ethic also helped the group land themselves in a bidding war with Tommy Boy Records, Ruthless Records and Profile Records. 2Aggrivated eventually signed with Profile.

The release of their first studio album was never completed due to unresolved management and group conflicts. A collaboration with the hip-hop group UGK was expected to make a large imprint on the album as well but due to the unresolved issues and delay on the release 2Aggrivated was dropped from the label.

This was only the first of many pitfalls Chyle would face with a healthy optimistic demeanor. She soon relocated to Atlanta to pursue a solo career. Chyle is known to have said, “The strength I have is based solely in the faith that I know my work has the ability to inspire.” Chyle’s music career thrived as she worked with noted producer and musician Gerald Jackson. During her time in Atlanta, Chyle became a well known act as she worked acclimating her style and infusing it into Atlanta’s flourishing music scene.

Local club promoters deemed Chyle as a “Diamond in The Rough”. She hit the stages of larger venues and music showcases under the new moniker, “GChyle”. As with everything in life, changes and a very personal situation became a five year road block for Ms. Chyle. During that time Chyle took an assessment of her goals and made the decision to come back to music, knowing that the only goal that she has ever had is to shine in the music industry.

Not one to shirk from the work that it takes to breed her music, hype and fan base, Chyle is in it for all the reasons that initiated her move to L.A. This move is an interesting story of faith that took herself and her band members from Atlanta to L.A. based on a tour from a promoter who never followed through. This unusual turn of events was a blessing for Chyle since she is never one to stay at the ground level of any endeavor. Chyle has only been in the L.A. scene for nearly 2 years and the faith and tenacity that brought her to her proving grounds has worked in her favor.

She has dubbed her sound as Nu Alt-Rap/Soul/Rock, with a favorable combination of Hip hop, Rock and R&B. This eclectic blend has resonated with music lovers across the board, which draws a listener in with a subtle charm and haunting lyrics. Her song’s “Doin’ It My Way”, “Soul & Rock n Roll”, “Warrioress” & “Lose Myself” have been a hit in local music scenes and abroad. Urban Twist Magazine states boldly that Chyle is “Breaking genres with her music.” With her fans expressing the same sentiment. “Imani Chyle is unique, she has a very exciting sound, she bridges the gap and it is great music, with a style that is all her own!” Music Connection says Chyle is “Impulsive...and menacing.” And the accolades keep coming in for a Queen whose faith, persistence, and work ethic continues to move her closer to her goal.

Chyle has since been nominated at the 2011 People’s Music Awards UK for Best New Female Solo Artist in the Trip-Hop/Hip-Hop, R&B category. “Warrioress” is a single that charged in the Top 10 Rhythmic New Releases and quickly shot up to #7 on the top National 50 Airplay charts at her highest point Chyle was charting in territory side by side with Superstar artists such as Adele, Bruno Mars, Beyonce & Robin Thicke to name a few. Chyle notes her musical influences include an eclectic mix from Nona Hendryx, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Annie Lennox, Tupac & U2. Chyle emotes through her vocals she masterfully weaves harmonies with a perspective that inspires through her originality. Lyrically she depicts the pain of losing while intricately laying a foundation through love, allowing the listener to envelope her message of faith.

Imani Chyle’s personal style reflects her music, a masterful blend of “Rocker Chick meets Rap/Soul Queen”. Ms. Chyle describes her style as ‘HipRockSoul’ though many have told Chyle, “You’re in your own lane! You are your own competition!”

The yet to be released full debut album, “Season Of I” is already generating a healthy fa
